Important Stretches to Do Daily

The most important thing to make sure you do everyday is to stretch! Without stretching, your body will become tight and impact your workouts. Here are some important stretches that you can do everyday.

1 ) Neck Stretch

Place your left hand on the right side of your head with your right arm behind your back. Gently pull your head to the left side until you feel a stretch. Hold for a few seconds and repeat on the other side.

2 ) Quad Stretch

In a standing position, bend your right leg up towards your butt and grab your foot with your right hand until you feel a stretch in the front of your thigh. Hold for a few seconds and repeat on the other side.

3) Chest Stretch

Stand straight and clasp your hands behind your back. Lift arms up to deepen the stretch. Hold for a few seconds.

4 ) Cat Stretch

Get in an on all fours position and arch your back up to the ceiling while tucking your chin into your chest. Hold for a few seconds and repeat 5 times.

5 ) Hamstring Stretch

Lie down flat on your back and bend your right leg up. Wrap a band around your foot and slowly pull your leg towards you until you feel a stretch. Hold for a few seconds and repeat on the other side.

6 ) Hip Stretch

Lie flat on your back and bend both of your knees into your chest with your arms out to the side. Slowly roll your legs over to the right and twist your head to the left. Hold for a few seconds and repeat on the other side.

Hopefully you will be able to add these stretches to your daily routine to help your body become more flexible and to add a few minutes of relaxation into your day.
